Jimmy Kimmel threatened to sue Jets’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers for suggesting that the late night host’s name would appear on the upcoming list of Jeffrey Epstein’s associates.
Kimmel called the NFL star various colorful names and said that his assertions had put his family “in danger.”
Rodgers accusations come on the heels of news that a list of more than 170 associates of the convicted pedophile and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell will be revealed in the very near future.
Both former President Bill Clinton and disgraced Prince Andrew are expected to be among the prominent names that appeared in documents that were previously sealed as part of accuser Virginia Giuffre’s lawsuit.
Dear Aasshole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein, nor will you find my name on any “list” other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality. Rodgers inflamed his late night nemesis when he jokingly speculated that Kimmel’s name could appear on the list.
The ABC host furiously posted a public rebuttal on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday.
“Dear Aasshole: for the record, I’ve not met, flown with, visited, or had any contact whatsoever with Epstein,” Kimmel began.
“Nor will you find my name on any “list” other than the clearly-phony nonsense that soft-brained wackos like yourself can’t seem to distinguish from reality.”
Kimmel, who makes a living making jokes about public figures like Rodgers, threatened legal action if the Superbowl champ doesn’t keep the comedian’s name out of his mouth.
“Your reckless words put my family in danger,” the post concluded. “Keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court.”
NEW: Quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he will pop "some sort of bottle" when the Epstein associates list is released and suggests Jimmy Kimmel will be named.

The subject of the Epstein list came up during Rodgers regular appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.
Initially, Rodgers perplexed McAfee and co-host AJ Hawk with a conspiracy involving the NFL’s Super Bowl emblems and their supposed predictive nature regarding the participating teams.
Hawk playfully interrupted, asking if his wild theory was related to the Epstein list
In response, Rodgers suggested that Kimmel and plenty of others “are hoping that list doesn’t come out.”
McAfee jokingly remarked that Rodgers had been eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the court documents from his wine cellar, where he was shooting the segment from.
‘I’ll tell you what, if that list comes out, I will definitely be popping some sort of bottle,’ Rodgers quipped back.

McAfee helpfully pointed out that the quarterback’s jab at Kimmel was a retort to a segment the late night host did on his show mocking Rodgers earlier this year.
Kimmel aired a clip of Rodgers’ February appearance on McAfee’s show, when the NFL star discussed the pedophiles client list.
“Did you hear about the Epstein client list about to be released,” Rodgers remarked.
“There’s some files that have some names on it that might be getting released pretty soon.”
The scene cut back to Kimmel on stage, who sniped, “Might be time to revisit that concussion protocol, Aaron.”
The Epstein list, which is expected to drop sometime this week, reportedly will name Clinton as “John Doe 36.”
The ex-president is expected to be named over 50 times in documents that Manhattan federal Judge Loretta Preska ruled would be unsealed.
According to ABC News, many of the references to Clinton are thought to come from Giuffre’s attempts to get the former president to testify against Epstein and Maxwell in her 2015 lawsuit.
Clinton has long denied ever visiting Epstein’s notorious island, but has flown with him on his private jet on numerous occasions.
Clinton’s spokesperson said that he knew “nothing about the terrible crimes Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty to in Florida some years ago, or those with which he has been recently charged in New York,” in a 2019 statement.
The court records are not likely to implicate Clinton in criminal activity in connection with Epstein, nor are any charges against the former president expected to stem from the list’s release.
