Vice President Kamala Harris blasted Tesla CEO Elon Musk while he chatted with her political opponent, former President Donald Trump, on Monday night.
An email from Harris’ campaign, featuring links to the fundraising platform ActBlue, was headlined, “The two worst people you know are live this evening.”
The email took several shots at Musk, labeling him as the “richest person in the world is a lackey for Team MAGA,” and accusing him of “using his vast fortune and broad reach to try to control our democracy.”
It also claimed that Musk had “ruined” X, formerly Twitter, and allowed disinformation to proliferate on the platform.
President Trump has been speaking for over an hour to over a million people about his winning agenda for the American people.
Kamala is BIG MAD about this as she refuses to speak to the media, do an interview, or even explain what platform she is even running on.

Responding on X, Trump’s campaign posted, “President Trump has been speaking for over an hour to over a million people about his winning agenda for the American people.”
Alongside a screenshot of the fundraising email, they added, “Kamala is BIG MAD about this as she refuses to speak to the media, do an interview, or even explain what platform she is even running on. So pathetic.”
Trump’s X account became active again for the first time in over a year, posting multiple updates, including one asking, “Are you better off now than you were when I was president?”

“Our economy is shattered. Our border has been erased. We’re a nation in decline,” he added. “Make the American Dream AFFORDABLE again. Make America SAFE again. Make America GREAT Again!”
Musk described his Spaces chat with Trump as a “conversation” to allow people to understand Trump’s manner of speaking in a casual setting rather than a formal interview.
My use of the word conversation is deliberate.
This is so that people understand how @realDonaldTrump talks when it’s a conversation, rather than an interview.
Nobody is quite themselves in an interview, so it’s hard to understand what they’re really like. https://t.co/H6G0RuwIM4

He noted, “Nobody is quite themselves in an interview, so it’s hard to understand what they’re really like.”
The discussion encountered a rocky start with technical glitches but eventually proceeded after a brief delay.
Musk indicated that X had likely been the victim of a “massive” DDOS attack that he blamed on Democrats.

Despite nearly forty minutes of technical issues at the beginning, the conversation continued for over two hours, covering various topics.
The Space talk resumed with a smaller audience of just over a million listeners and no glitches after initially failing to launch.
Musk began the interview by asking Trump about the failed assassination attempt, illegal immigration, and Harris’ lack of media appearances.
Musk initiated, “What was the assassination attempt like?” Trump responded, “Not pleasant,” and elaborated on how the close call strengthened his faith in God.
“I’m a believer [in God],” Trump stated. “Now I’m more of a believer, I think. And a lot of people have said that to me. A lot of great people have said it to me, actually.”
Trump revealed his plans to revisit the place he almost lost his life in October and said he might resume his speech where it was abruptly cut off.
He went on to denounced Harris for her role as the “border czar” and pointed out her failure to grant interviews since launching her presidential campaign.
“She’s incompetent. She’s as bad as Biden in a different way. She hasn’t done an interview since this whole scam started,” the Republican nominee said about his political rival.
“And say what you want – this was a coup. This was a coup of a president of the United States,” Trump added about Biden dropping out of the race.
“He didn’t want to leave, and they said, ‘We can do it the nice way, or we can do it the hard way,’” he noted.
“They just took him out back behind the shed and basically shot him,” Musk chimed in.
Both Trump and Musk concurred that the United States currently lacks effective leadership.
“Biden is close to vegetable stage, in my opinion. I looked at him today on the beach, and I said, ‘Why would anybody allow him — the guy could barely walk,” Trump commented in reference to a recent video of President Biden at the beach.
Biden — who held just one public event this week — is currently lounging on the beach in Delaware.
He has spent 40% of his entire presidency on vacation.

“Does he have a political adviser that thinks this looks good? Because it looks so bad.”
“He can’t lift the chair,” Trump went on. “The chair weighs about three ounces. It’s meant for children and old people to lift, and he can’t lift it. The whole thing is crazy.”
Musk cut in to note that “It’s clearly, like, we just don’t have a president right now,” which Trump agreed, “You don’t have a president.”
He argued that Harris would be “worse than” Biden if she became president “because she is a San Francisco liberal who destroyed San Francisco, and, then, as attorney general, she destroyed California.”

Trump told Musk that he knows better than anyone about what Harris “has done to California,” because he just “left California for a lot of those reasons.”
“What she’s done with crime, with cashless bail, where you kill somebody,” he listed. “We have states where you kill somebody and they let you out right away. And then they never find the people unless they kill again, and then they let them out again.”
In July, Musk announced that he would be moving X and SpaceX out of California to Texas.
“Have had enough of dodging gangs of violent drug addicts just to get in and out of the building,” he tweeted at the time.
“Our country is becoming a very dangerous place, and she is a radical left San Francisco liberal,” Trump concluded.
