President-elect Donald Trump shared an eyebrow-raising, spot-on lip-read parody of his chat with former President Barack Obama at former President Jimmy Carter’s Funeral.
The two were seen laughing together during the funeral at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., an exchange that even had reporters asking Trump what sparked such a rare moment of camaraderie.
The scene left the media trying to decode what could’ve caused such uncontrollable laughter between the once-fierce political adversaries.
Before anyone could piece it together, Trump took control of the narrative, dropping his own hilarious spoof video on Instagram.

The clip, shared on his Truth Social account as well, features a mock conversation where Obama congratulates Trump on his 2024 election win, even throwing in a cheeky diss about Vice President Kamala Harris “falling off the wagon.”
The Harris joke stems from a video she published after her humiliating loss to Trump, where peculiar slurred speech led some to speculate she might’ve been hitting the bottle before filming.
The video opens with Obama joining Trump on a church pew while solemn choir music plays, setting the backdrop for a series of biting punches aimed at well-known political figures.
Who thought it would be a good idea to post a video of a drunk Kamala Harris rambling incoherently for nearly 10 minutes? pic.twitter.com/3CItfSit2n

“Well Mr. President,” the faux Obama exclaims, kicking off the banter, “For a second time,” fake Trump responds.
After Obama extends his congratulations, he follows up with, “I knew you’d win,” to which the AI Trump replies, “Anyone could beat her.”
From there, the humor turns to Biden, with the parody Obama ripping into the current president’s unwillingness to step aside post-debate meltdown back in June 2024.
OH MY GOSH! It’s all starting to make sense. Kamala Harris is a raging alcoholic because there’s no good explanation for having moments like this on Live TV

“He just didn’t want to leave,” moaned the fake Obama, pitching Biden as stubborn to a fault. “I did what I could to help her,” he notes.
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton doesn’t escape unscathed either. The parody flashes to her scowling silently, drawing fake Trump to mock that she still “hates” him and will “never forgive” him.
All the while, the two faux former presidents share jabs as though old pals from varying sides of the aisle.
The video ends with the faux duo joking about grabbing coffee or arranging another catch-up.
“We should definitely set something up,” says the fake Trump. Unfortunately for them, their imaginary plans are cut short when Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug, show up, visibly ignoring the engaging chatter happening behind them.
The parody closes on Trump badmouthing the VP aloud while Obama rolls with the sarcasm.
Trump claims others have whispered she “fell off the wagon” since losing the election. The mock Obama agrees before adding, “She’s not really built for this.”
Of course, there was interest in the real-life interaction too. Hours after the funeral, during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago, reporters couldn’t resist questioning Trump about the surprising camaraderie shared with Obama during the service.
Trump didn’t spill any juicy details on their actual exchange but did amuse reporters, musing how “friendly” their interaction appeared on TV.
“It did look very friendly, I must say,” Trump remarked, acknowledging the media frenzy that followed the interaction.
He quipped, “I didn’t realize how friendly it looked. Boy, they look like two people who like each other.”
Trump concluded, “And we probably do… We have different philosophies, but we probably do.”
Trump extended the sentiment further, saying everyone at Carter’s funeral, ranging from political VIPs to media heavyweights, “got along very well,” while they were gathered backstage ahead of the event.
On the flip side of this unexpectedly cordial moment, former CNN anchor Don Lemon was anything but calm, delivering a fiery monologue addressing Obama’s decision to engage Trump in conversation during Carter’s funeral.
Ranting on his YouTube channel, Lemon called the seemingly friendly exchange an unsettling display of normalizing behavior that he believes undermines core Democratic values.
“You have to indicate to the American people that this is not normal,” Lemon exclaimed, driving home why he found Obama’s amicable engagement deeply concerning at such a critical time.
“Grinning with someone that you have called a fascist over the last couple of years and the last months. That’s not normal,” he seethed.
While acknowledging Obama’s famously “classy” demeanor, Lemon didn’t pull punches, reminding audiences that Trump’s base—and, by association, the man himself—allegedly stand for values that contradict those of more moderate or progressive factions.
“Barack Obama is a classy guy,” Lemon admitted before launching an invective. “But these are the very same MAGA people who have called, and Donald Trump has helped promote, calling Michelle Obama a man.”
“I’m not smiling in your face if you’re calling my sister, my mother, or my wife a man. F*** you!” he raged.
The former CNN anchor argued that choosing to remain cordial with perceived political enemies misrepresents what ‘civility’ should stand for.
“Civility does not mean befriending people or forgoing your morals and your principles and your character,” he added.
“If someone disrespects my loved one, I don’t have to smile in their f***ing face! And they’re going to know it,” the sour Lemon concluded.
