British actor Russell Brand has been formally charged with multiple serious offenses involving five women, following a criminal investigation by the Metropolitan Police Service.
Brand, 49, now residing in Florida, is facing allegations dating back more than two decades, with multiple charges sexual assault.
According to a statement released by the Metropolitan Police, the Crown Prosecution Service has authorized law enforcement to charge the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” star in connection with four separate incidents that allegedly occurred between 1999 and 2005.
The offenses include one count of rape, one count of indecent assault, one count of oral rape, and two counts of sexual assault.

“Detectives began investigating in September 2023 after receiving a number of allegations, which followed reporting by Channel 4’s Dispatches and The Sunday Times,” officials from the Metropolitan Police noted.
Four women have accused Brand of sexual misconduct on different occasions. One alleged victim stated she was raped in the Bournemouth area in 1999. Another woman claimed she was indecently assaulted in Westminster in 2001.
A third reported that she was subjected to oral rape and sexual assault in Westminster in 2004. The fourth allegation involves sexual assault said to have occurred between 2004 and 2005, also in Westminster.

Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy addressed the ongoing investigation, noting that the alleged victims are currently receiving assistance from officers trained to support individuals affected by such crimes.
“The women who have made reports continue to receive support from specially trained officers,” Furphy said.
“The Met’s investigation remains open and detectives ask anyone who has been affected by this case, or anyone who has any information, to come forward and speak with police.”
The investigation initially gained public attention in September 2023, when The Sunday Times, The Times, and Channel 4’s Dispatches conducted a joint investigation into Brand.
That exposé featured the accounts of five women, four of whom remained anonymous. One of them alleged she was only 16 years old when Brand assaulted her in 2006.
Brand responded to the mounting accusations in 2023, by releasing a video on YouTube, in which he challenged the validity of the claims and suggested an ulterior motive behind their timing.
“I’ve received two extremely disturbing letters, or a letter and an email, one from a mainstream media TV company, one from a newspaper,” he announced at the time. “Listing a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks, as well as some stupid stuff, like my community festival should be stopped, I shouldn’t be able to attack mainstream narratives on this channel.”
“But amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute,” Brand said in the video.
He said the allegations were made when he was gaining popularity in Hollywood as a comedian and actor.
“As I’ve written about extensively in my books, I was very, very promiscuous,” he admitted. “Now, during that time of my promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely, always consensual.”
“I was always transparent about that then — almost too transparent. And I’m being transparent about it now as well,” he continued. “And to see that transparency metastasized into something criminal, that I absolutely deny, makes me question: Is there another agenda at play?”
At the time, Brand was making waves on his podcast “Under The Skin” after tackling woke liberal insanity.
I'm keeping an open mind with the whole Russell Brand situation.
He only became a target when he started speaking out against Big Pharma and the WEF/NWO.

“Particularly when we’ve seen coordinated media attacks before like with Joe Rogan, when he dared to take a medicine that the mainstream media didn’t approve of and we saw a spate of headlines from media outlets across the world using the same language,” he noted.
As the charges were officially made public, Brand released another video on Friday — this time on X — reiterating his denial and speaking to his personal history and faith.
“I was a fool before I lived in the light of the Lord. I was a drug addict, a sex addict and an imbecile,” he said.
“But what I never was, was a rapist. I have never engaged in non-consensual activity — I pray that you can see that by looking in my eyes.”
Brand alleged that the criminal justice system is being weaponized against people who question corruption, tying his legal battle to broader cultural and political themes.
After declaring his innocence, he went on to thank his followers for their ongoing encouragement and confirmed that he intends to contest the charges in court.
“I want to thank all of you for all your continuing support. I want to let you know that our show will be on Rumble on Monday, thanks for your support there, and of course I’m now going to have the opportunity to defend these charges in court and I’m incredibly grateful for that.”
“In the meantime you lot, stay free and we will be continuing to discuss this matter. Praise the Lord,” he concluded.
